Since Shamali was a little girl, she always had a passion for fashion. “I have always loved fashion illustration. When I was a young girl, I spent hours drawing and designing dresses, from casual daywear dresses to glamorous evening gowns. I was inspired by the elegance of Audrey Hepburn and the mid-20th century.” This is a passion that has stayed with her and still continues to thrive.
After studying at The London College of Fashion and Design and furthered her training in Pattern Cutting at St. Martin’s College of Art and Design, Shamali began her working career as a pattern cutter and she worked her way up.
Founder and Creative Designer, Shamali draws upon inspirations from past eras to create her unique hand-made couture collection of elegant, feminine bridal gowns. Every couture gown is designed and created by Shamali and her highly skilled team in The Design Room. The detailed process begins with the drawing of a sketch and proceeds to the pattern stage.
Using various precious silk fabrics, lace and intricate beading, the team creates beautiful gowns with refined simplicity for the brides of today. Shamali is well known for her signature classic design with a glamorous modern twist.
“There is nothing more satisfying than helping a bride to find her dream wedding dress. Sewing it to make it come to reality is so exciting.
